True Shape

Short Shifts · Book Five game

A phone filter wants to tell you what you really are. Seven questions, one scan, no camera. Results guaranteed. Accuracy not.

The booth needs JavaScript. The plain version works without it: answer the questions as links.

SCAN YOUR TRUE SHAPE

Seven questions. One scan. Know your grade.

1. How do you handle steam?
2. Pick a sauce you’d defend in court.
3. When criticized, you:
4. Which wall would you lean on?
5. How many tabs are open right now?
6. Pick a shelf.
7. Do you read the terms and conditions?

How it works

  1. Seven questions, one at a time

  2. Scan, and the grade arrives

  3. Refusing is allowed

The rules, in words

  1. Answer seven questions. None of them is about you: no camera, no upload, no name, no age, nothing about where you or your family come from.
  2. The booth scans a drawn tube instead of you. Then it grades the tube, the way a shop grades a shelf.
  3. Rescan as often as you like. You can’t upgrade. You can always refuse.
  4. Nothing you pick is sent anywhere. A refusal is remembered in this browser only, as a preference. Without JavaScript, the plain version further down is a row of links, and the page it ends on is the same for everyone.
  5. Finish Book Five and the booth behaves differently.

The plain version

SPOILERS UNDER PROTECTION PLUS Opens when you mark Book Five finished. Coverage: Basic (free). Premium (also free). Platinum Elite (free, but Louie calls you).

Book Five’s own mode for the booth. It opens when you’ve marked Book Five finished, and from then on the booth runs it: the third rescan is the last.
